I've been gone for so long. Gosh. I should've uploaded something about SVS, I know, but I've simply been too.. Lazy, I guess?
I will make an update about SVScon at some point (hopefully soon) but for now this will just be a plan-update!
OH AND WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE NEW LOOK TO THE SITE? I think it's cuuuuuute~ took a while to put together.... Møhmøhmøh!

So, PLANS!
We wanted to make a big group for Genki12, but since Michelle's friends have plans on their owns, and my friends (living near me) have different reasons not to join. Anyways, we had a plan B, and I really, really, really, really like it! (It was actually meant for J-popcon last year, but we ended up not doing it back then.. HARHARHAR)
I feel more or less random right now...So, we have a somewhat-act we'll be making. Don't worry, it'll be lotsa fun! (I hope so, at least.. xD)

For J-popcon13 we actually have the act itself, we just need the character. We also have the sound for the act... Yes, we're very well prepared (I do my homework when I like the subject!)

The whole Hunger Games project is moving very slowly forward. To be quite honest it's exhausting being the only one that's really doing everything. But it is my project, so I'll just have to stand tall and make costumes for everyone! Møhmøh (and by everyone I only mean like 2 people.. So it's not that bad xD plus one of the costumes I'm hoping we can put together from our normal clothes.. Tehehe!)

I don't have much more to say. I'm not dead, that's all!

WELCOME TO THE 74th ANNUAL HUNGER GAMES

Guess what? I'm in the midst of a biiig project... And I'm not talking anything SVScon related (;

I actually wont tell you much, but as you've probably already guessed; it's got something to do with le Hunger Games!

Craving pictures? I'll show some process of making the pin Katniss gives to her littlesister Primrose (or as in the book; the mayors daughter gives to Katniss XD)

First of all, I wanna say that this project was VERY hard. I did my best to mimic what it looks like in the movie, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to find any pictures on the internet (at least it was when I made it)

Such small sculpting. I did this before the ballerina and mermaid, which means it's the first time I've sculpted something in a LONG time!

Here's the somewhat finished bird - after it was burn I suppose. I know the circle is not quite circular, but I did my best with the materials I had. To be quite honest, I truly like how it turned out. I'm proud!

This was after the paint was done! In the books it's definitly gold, but I had a feeling that in the movie it was more of a silver/VERY dull gold. The only pictures I have of the pin "connected" (glued together) are the ones where I'm in my Katniss wig (which is WONDERFUL btw- the wig, that is)

A perfect opportunity to show off the wig - and the pin!

(do not judge the colour though, the big amount of light made it waaaay bright!)

Creativity

'Ello!

So the other night I was feeling really rather creative. I had a bunch of leftover cernit (no idea what it's called in english, sorry) from something on my SVScon costume - so I decided to make some puretty stuff!

I didn't take many pictures though!

The ballerina was inspired of a picture I found on google (one of the first that comes up when you search for ballet);

After some paint they look like this;

I still need to add a tutu (of fabric, I'll glue it on) to the ballerina. I think I'll be making a necklace out of her - no idea what to do with the mermaid though, but I told my sister she could have her if she wanted (:

Practice makes PERFECT

On April 6th (a friday) I went to my sisters place to practice with Geo and Mimi. It was a ton of fun! We hung out from around 13:30 to 22:00!
Buuut we did so much other than practice, weeeeee;
- Talked

- ATE

- Made burgers

- Played games

- Made a "guess who I am" card for easter (or.. that was actually just Mimi.. XD LOL!)

- AAAAAAAND took a bunch of pictures! (obviously)

Updates on SVS!

So, last time I wrote that I'd be performing with my sister on saturday of SVS... Scratch that! Yup, I'm going up on stage alone. Found a way to make it work, since she really wanted to perform on her own (:

Other than that; I haven't come as far in my costumes as I wanted. The one for friday is almost finished (I have the shirt and the hat.. Oh and the wig of course, trolo ~ but I need the leggins and a belt.. And a feather for the hat, but I actually know where to get that.. XD)

The saturday one, on the other hand... Hmmm.. I have a lot of the things I'll bring up on stage, but the costume itself is so far from done. I would say maybe 20% is done? Even less? It's horrible! But I'll manage - I'll have to, I've invested TONS of time on this project.. Surely not gonna let it glip! *fighter*

So, I suppose that's all for now! I will be writing like 3 other blog entries RIGHT NOW, so they will be uploaded tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that 8D

Groups at SVS

Hello there!
So I felt kinda bad leaving this blog alone for too long, which is why I came up with the idea of making an entry about who I'm gonna cosplay with on stage! (@SVScon)

First off is Freestyle!

Saturday it's time for the biiig competition!

I was thinking of going on stage alone to prove that a oneman act can be as exciting as a twoman one, but I (with my sister) came up with a sketch that was too good not to be used (at least in our minds)
I really like what we'll be doing!

Most people can probably figure out what I'm going to cosplay at Freestyle, but the Saturday one is a seeecret! I CAN spoil you and say that BOTH are from Disney! (Hohoho)

Hello and welcome to my new blog!

This is my little "place" where I will update about costumes or other creative projects (:

As I (obviously) don't make costumes every day, there's going to be a while between updates.

The pictures on your right are the ones I'm gonna cosplay for SURE. The blue indicates it's a boy, whilst pink indicates a girl. I decided to make it like this, 'cause most of my costumes are secret.

(This was a I'm-bored-so-I'm-gonna-sew-something kinda project, which means it's not all that well done)

First of, I started by drawing the shape I wanted onto a piece of paper - then I cut it out, drew it onto the fabric and sowed the pieces together.

For the head I had a circular shape where I sowed a long piece of fabric onto - and I sowed the ears in right away aswell (:
After that, I just sowed the other circular shape on, flipped it around and put it onto the body.

I forgot to mention the fact that I put cotton inside to fill it out (:
The legs are obviously a bit too long, but all in all I like it!
It needs a face, which I'm planning on putting on it at some point, but I would've liked to just glue it on (with my new heat glue gun, thank you mother!) but I'm not sure if I have anything that'd look cute as a face. I will figure that out x)
